Waitakere Central Library & Information Services

The library service is provided by the Waitakere City Council because it sees the general provision of libraries and access to recreation and knowledge as a key to the wellbeing of the community. Libraries also specifically help the Council to achieve its objective of a city where the residents have learning opportunities throughout their lives.
