Simply Alpacas

Simply Alpacas is owned by Brian & Jackie Ingram. We bought our first lifestyle block in 1976 and spent many years enjoying rural living on our own piece of our beautiful country.

In 1994, after a few years in town, we moved close to the beautiful West Coast beach of Muriwai (Maori for raging water). With quiet roads and a forest for riding our horses, cafes, wineries and still close to New Zealand’s largest city (so the teenagers couldn’t complain) this is a great area.

We began breeding Polled Wiltshire sheep and I became involved in the Auckland Poultry & Pigeon Association, breeding and exhibiting rare breeds - Light Sussex, Plymouth Barred Rock, Gold Laced Wyandottes and Silkies. I had several years as show secretary and with three shows a year, the largest had over 500 entries from all over the North Island, I was busy.
