Dr Russell Blakelock

Russell is a Paediatric Surgeon and Senior Lecturer in Sugery with the University of Otago. He is involved in undergraduate student education at the Christchurch School of Medicine & Health Sciences and the Dunedin School of Medicine, and postgraduate teaching. He has ongoing involvement in clinical work, teaching and training in the Pacific Islands.

His research interests include the effect of congenital bowel abnormalities on fetal growth.

He is developing a keen interest in the influence of personality, emotion and communication behaviour on learning in medical training and team performance.
