Aero Club:

The Northland Districts Aero club is located at Whangarei airport, the gateway to beautiful Northland and the bay of Islands.

The club has excellent facilities including briefing rooms, recreational areas and full bar and catering facilities.

Aircraft are a Cessna 172, a Piper Archer and a Tomahawk available for member hire at competitive rates.

Whangarei airport has a sealed 1097 metre runway and an 475 metre grass vector and both Avgas and Jet A1 is available.

The club CFI, Jill Mortenson, has an excellent reputation in the New Zealand aviation industry and is able to undertake flying training from ab-intio to Commercial licence.

The balmy Northland climate, uncluttered skies and close proximity to Auckland makes the Northland Districts Aero Club the perfect place to learn to fly.
