South Otago AERO CLUB

Welcome to the South Otago Aero Club

The South Otago Aero Club is located at the end of Glasgow Street in Balclutha.

The Club has around fortyfive pilot members and a hard working committee, dedicated to providing flying training and quality resources for the community and for its pilot members.

We have excellent instructors available every Sunday (and other days by arrangement) for trial flights and flight training through to Private and Commercial licences.

The South Otago region provides an excellent area for training with its uncontrolled and relatively quiet airspace.

Mobil Avgas is available (via swipe card) on the field. We warmly welcome itinerant pilots, the field has plenty of space to tie down your aircraft. There is a small landing fee of $5.00.
