New Plymouth AERO CLUB

The New Plymouth Aero Club has, over its more than 75 year history, grown to be one of the most successful and diverse Aero Clubs in New Zealand, incorporating social club flying, a full time charter operation, Coastguard Search and Rescue, Air Ambulance as well as training, ranging from ab-initio right through to full time NZQA approved courses.

Situated on the northern fringes of the Taranaki Bight, flying from New Plymouth puts pilots in an area abundant with rural scenery, a spectacular coastal outlook and the stunning presence and views of Mt Taranaki.

The club operates a fleet of Cessna 152 and 172 aircraft, and a Partenavia P68B. These aircraft are available for private hire and also for our Commercial, Instrument and Instructor Training Courses. A Piper Navajo PA31CR is also used by the club, primarily for Air ambulance and Charter operations.
